Dendrobium Orchids

A large variety of species are included under the Dendrobium genus. Because these species grow in different regions and climates, it is not possible to generalize about how to properly care for a Dendrobium.

Some species alternate between growth phases and rest phases. For these plants different watering and fertilization plans are required to accommodate a plant’s needs.

One of the many attractive features of Dendrobium orchids is that quite often the blooms last for quite a while, thus adding to the enjoyment of having one in the home.

If you are the proud owner of one or more Dendrobium orchids, the American Orchid Society has lots of good information for taking care of your particular species.
