Catasetum in my greenhouse

I saw quite a few Catasetums in the wild last June in Costa Rica, but they were not in bloom.

The one in my greenhouse is now in bloom, however.  I took it outside and let it enjoy some fresh air in the yard while I took these photos.

The sculpture you see in one photo is called “Flora”, and it is one of a limited edition, made by my mother, who was a fine artist.

I think I feel a new painting coming on …..
