The Tulsa show, held April 20-22,  was also the semi-annual Southwest Regional Orchid Growers Association (SWROGA) meeting. Whenever the SWROGA meeting is held in conjunction with a show, it always draws participation from a wider number of orchid societies than would the local show alone

And spectacular it was, with the well-known and much admired Tom Mirenda giving talks on orchid conservation and telling about his new professional home, the Hawaii Tropical Garden Center just north of Hilo (hopefully safe from the current volcanic activity).
