The Galveston Bay Orchid Society invited me to give a conservation talk at their September monthly meeting in League City, Texas (south of Houston).  As chair of the SWROGA conservation committee, my presentation included an update on projects this past year(2017-2018), including a report on the Dracula Orchid Reserve and the Smithsonian’s OrchidGami sponsorship.   It is always fun to talk to societies about my favorite topic of orchid habitat protection, so important to the future survival of thousands of species yet to be discovered.
